The SPAX Decking Cylindrical Head Screws are the perfect solution for your outdoor decking projects. Constructed from high-grade A4 316 stainless steel, these screws are built to withstand even the harshest weather conditions. The cylindrical head design provides a sleek, professional finish, while the T25 drive ensures easy installation. With a secondary thread, these screws provide superior holding power.
BENEFITS
The fixing thread fixes the cover board
The small cylindrical head lies flush in the wood, achieving an appealing aesthetic finish.
Use: Wooden decking in outdoor areas
SECONDARY THREAD
The fixing thread consists of a main thread, which inserts into the substructure, and another thread below the head. This thread below the head ensures that the board remains securely in place on the substructure in all weather conditions. The smooth shank between the thread parts absorbs the movements of the board. No more re-fastening wooden boards that have become loose or creak too much!
A4 316 STAINLESS STEEL
Screws made of stainless steel A4 can do everything that a screw made of stainless steel A2 can. However, the higher alloy also makes these screws resistant to saltwater and acid. These screws are predominantly used in coastal areas. Since chlorinated water contains acid, too, stainless steel A4 screws should also be used for fastening wooden decking around swimming pools.
CYLINDRICAL HEAD DECKING SCREWS
Unlike the washer or countersunk head, which transfers the tensile forces of the screw onto a larger area of the wood via its large underside, the narrow cylindrical head does not need to perform this task at all. With its size, which offers just enough space for the T-STAR plus drive, the cylindrical head can be completely countersunk into the wood, thus enabling simple, virtually invisible screw connections. The tensile forces exercised on a screw in wood construction are completely transferred to the wood via the full thread of the cylindrical head screws.
