OSMO Exterior | UV PROTECTION 410 Clear Exterior Biocide Free
Osmo UV Protection Oils are clear, UV rated oils for new timber joinery, garden furniture, doors, window frames, cladding and other vertically structured joinery. Not recommended for horizontal surfaces such as timber decking.
UV Protection Oil 410 has a low satin sheen, and is biocide free, which means it can be used internally on timbers such as window frames, french doors etc. It can also be used outdoors on items such as timber garden furniture, where food may be present.

OSMO ADVICE
On a 2 coat application, the UV Protection Oils block the greying process of the timber by a UV protection factor of 12, when compared with untreated timber. All untreated exterior timber will grey off over time, but UV Protection oil has been developed to slow the greying process.
However, in Australia, due to the high level of UV rays, the clear UV Protection Oils have a lifespan of 4 - 6 months in fully exposed weather conditions, and 12-18 months in areas that are totally weather protected. For longer protection, we recommend using one of the tinted UV Oils, tinted Decking Oils or Natural Oil Woodstain.
A trial is always recommended first to determine suitability.
