The HECO-TOPIX-plus Floorboard screw pulls timber components together as it is driven in, leaving no gaps, whilst simultaneously fixing the components via the thread. That allows not only a quick and cost-saving working, but also reliably prevents annoying creaking of the floorboards at the screw shank.
As the loads are transferred via the thread, the head is used solely for driving and can be designed very small. It can be used in narrow tongue-and-groove mounting areas and does not overlap in subsequent components. That ensures a precise connection of profiled timber components. In addition the patented HECO-TOPIX drilling tip reduces the splitting of timber, enabling the usage in thinnest profiles with lowest edge distances.
