PROTECTION

You will require to use the Fiddes Hard Wax Oil over the top of the stain. This is a stain only and will not offer. any protection to your flooring.

APPLICATION & MAINTENANCE

Rolled On Method – For a deep colour, roll out the stain evenly using a 10mm microfibre roller in the direction of the grain working out a few boards/areas at a time. Use a paint brush to blend the end boards and leave.

Buffed In Method – For a lighter two-toned effect use a SLOW speed buffing machine (175RPM) with Fiddes Buffing Cloth or like material on a pad. Pour the stain directly onto the pad and buff in evenly. Brush the stain on the edges and rag off the excess.

Wipe on/Wipe off Method -Take a clean, lint free cotton cloth or sponge and apply in the direction of the wood grain where possible. Take care to remove any excess stain immediately with a separate, clean absorbent cloth, again following the direction of the grain pattern. To obtain a uniform colour, always wipe evenly, blending the stain over the whole surface area by exerting a degree of pressure when applying by hand. Leave to dry, and do not sand between coats.

USES FOR FIDDES HARD WAX OIL

Floors – Timber or Cork, Joinery, Furniture, Internal Timber

PREPERATION

Sand the wooden substrate in stages, working with a medium sandpaper (120 grit), through to a medium / fine grade (180 –220 grit). Always sand in the direction of the grain pattern where possible, ensuring the removal of any blemishes and glue residue prior to the application of Fiddes Wood Dye.

Stir the contents well and always check the shade before application.

The application of additional coats will deepen the existing colour/shade.
